Jane Ann Fosson | Attorney at Law

I provide legal staffing support to law firms and in-house corporate legal departments in all aspects of their employment and business litigation practices.  Prior to founding Fosson Legal Services, PLLC, I spent more than five years working as an attorney at a boutique employment law firm in San Antonio, Texas, representing fortune 100 companies, government entities, and small businesses alike.  In that role, I provided advice and representation to employers in disputes involving federal and state employment laws, including but not limited to the following:

  • Section 1981 of the Civil Rights Act of 1866
  • Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967
  • Equal Pay Act of 1963
  • Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993
  • Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938
  • Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008
  • Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978
  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • Texas Labor Code Chapter 21: Employment Discrimination
  • Texas Labor Code Chapter 61: Texas Payday Law
  • Texas Labor Code Chapter 62: Texas Minimum Wage Act
  • Texas Labor Code Chapter 451: Workers’ Compensation Retaliation
  • Sections 501 and 505 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
  • Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) of 1994
  • Vietnam Era Veterans’ Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA) of 1974
  • Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act of 1988

In addition, I have investigated and responded to more than three dozen administrative charges of discrimination and retaliation before agencies at the state and federal level, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) in the Department of Labor (DOL).  I have also assisted clients by drafting custom employee handbooks, separation agreements, and other employment policies.
